Vanessa and Alex have surpassed your typical high school sweethearts.  They started dating when they were in middle school!  They met in sixth grade band, but didn't become good friends until eighth grade.  Vanessa had a crush on Alex in sixth grade, which she outgrew in seventh grade, when he had a crush on her.  Finally, in eighth grade, they liked each other at the same time and hit it off of MSN (so old school).

After passing flirty notes in the halls and in class, Vanessa and Alex were waiting after school one day for their parents to pick them up after an extracurricular activity.  Vanessa flirted with Alex by taking the mouthpiece to his trumpet and attempted to make a sound.  It wasn't until they both got home and on MSN that they flirted with each other some more, and Alex finally asked Vanessa to be his girlfriend.

Ever since December 13, 2004, Vanessa and Alex have been inseparable and are a truly happy and in-love couple.
